Rebuild the website. Keep the right information connected.

Softglimmer offers website redesign and migration for Los Angeles businesses through remote delivery from Ranchi. We review the current site, reshape the content and responsive interface, then develop the agreed pages and editing workflow with a planned transition. If several resources must be used together, the new structure needs to preserve that relationship. A collection can contain all the correct files yet guide a reader to the wrong combination.

The new website and the move are one commission
  1. 01

    Review what exists

Identify useful pages, resources and working functions.

  2. 02

    Redesign with real material

Approve structure, visual patterns and editing tasks.

  3. 03

    Reconcile the move

Compare the agreed collection and existing destinations.

An example journey, shaped around your requirements.

Decide why the site needs to change and what deserves to remain.

A redesign can improve selected journeys, replace the page system or include a platform move. The current material and operating needs guide that decision. We inspect the existing service explanations, navigation, media, contact routes and ordinary publishing tasks before proposing the extent of the rebuild. Exact-preservation requirements are recorded separately from copy or imagery that may be changed with approval.

The commission can include content and page planning, responsive visual design, template development, CMS controls, content entry and migration. A platform change adds access, data and integration decisions. Name which material the business supplies, who approves changes and what work remains outside the selected engagement. Forms and downloads belong in the review alongside the appearance of the homepage.

The transition plan follows important old destinations as well as the new menu. Where resources depend on one another, record the relationship as part of the migration: which handbook belongs with which worksheet, which instruction assumes another document and where readers learn that connection. Technical checks can confirm links and files; the content owner approves whether the combination is meaningful for the intended task.

The new structure must keep related resources understandable together.

Hypothetical rebuild: an old programme handbook remains useful with its matching worksheet, while the current programme has a different pair. The redesigned site sorts every handbook into one list and every worksheet into another. All four files are present, but a reader can easily combine the current handbook with the earlier worksheet. The rebuild needs a relationship decision, not another upload.

Preserve the resource relationship when the navigation changes
  1. 01

    Map the relationship

Identify which edition and companion belong together.

  2. 02

    Design the context

Make the pairing recognisable from either resource.

  3. 03

    Follow the task

Open the related material through the redesigned journey.

Illustrative information-architecture example; the business approves compatible resource sets.

Review the connections as well as the files.

Add relationship fields to the migration inventory where resources depend on one another. The rebuilt navigation may change; the approved meaning should remain understandable.

RelationshipReader situationMigration decisionAcceptance example
Authoritative pairThe handbook and worksheet approved for the same programme edition.Record both resource identities and the owner confirming their compatibility. The reviewer can identify the correct pair without guessing from similar filenames.
Entry from either resourceA reader may arrive at the worksheet before seeing the handbook.Show the relevant edition and a useful route to its companion, not only a generic list of documents.A direct worksheet arrival leads to its intended handbook and task context.
Changed navigationThe redesign groups material by a new audience or task.Choose how the approved pair is explained in lists, resource pages and relevant internal links.Reaching both files from separate menus does not hide the relationship.
Unresolved or omitted companionA related resource is missing or no longer approved for use.Ask the content owner for the intended treatment before presenting the remaining item as a complete set.The preview exposes the unresolved relationship instead of silently linking an unrelated replacement.

Commission the new site and an inspectable transition.

The proposal names the page and collection coverage, development work and responsibilities required to deliver the selected website.

01

Current-site and content inventory

Record useful routes, approved material, existing functionality and the reason for each major preservation or change decision.

02

Information architecture and page plan

Connect audiences, offers, resources and next actions. Define page types and the content each needs before extending layouts.

03

Responsive visual redesign

Develop representative phone and desktop patterns using actual material, including resource labels and long titles where relevant.

04

Website and editing workflow

Implement the agreed templates, functions and CMS controls. Review an ordinary update with the receiving editor.

05

Migration and relationship record

Map priority old destinations, approved companion resources and the context joining them. Compare those relationships with the preview, alongside the material itself.

06

Release and operating handover

Agree the cutover, recovery point, public checks and continuing content and technical owners.

Begin the review with a worksheet rather than the library homepage.

In the hypothetical rebuild, follow a previously shared worksheet address directly. Ask the reviewer which programme edition it belongs to and where to find its handbook. Then start from the current handbook and follow the reverse route. Both tasks should make the approved relationship clear even though the navigation has been reorganised. An inventory count or a successful file request would not catch a link to a valid but incompatible companion.

The editing handover should include changing a relationship deliberately. If a new worksheet is introduced, which programme editions may use it and which links change? The content owner answers that question; the CMS and page pattern provide the agreed controls. Also reconcile approved live changes during the rebuild and review useful old destinations. These checks sit alongside the ordinary content, design, development and release scope; they do not certify every document or guarantee search results.

Review the design, the collection and the public move.

Use dated America/Los_Angeles and Asia/Kolkata review windows. Include the person responsible for the current platform and the person approving the information.

  1. 01

    Discover

Inspect the site, reason for change and protected material. Set the page and migration scope.

  2. 02

    Design

Approve representative pages and resource patterns with real labels and content.

  3. 03

    Build and reconcile

Implement the selected system and compare the agreed inventory, routes and editing tasks.

  4. 04

    Switch and inspect

Approve the release conditions. Follow priority old and new links, check included actions and hand over ordinary updates.

Questions about the redesign and migration.

Must every file and old URL stay?

No. The content owner approves what remains current, what has a historical purpose and what is retired. We plan useful destinations and make exceptions visible instead of assuming everything should disappear or be redirected home.

Do we need to replace the CMS?

Only if the intended editing and functional requirements justify it. We inspect the present arrangement before adding the responsibilities of a platform move.

Does the migration guarantee the same search traffic?

No. The engagement can preserve useful material, review routes and technical signals and observe the public transition. Search engines reassess changed websites independently.

Can Los Angeles reviews be fully remote?

Yes. Our studio is in Ranchi, India. We agree named approvers, dated review windows and an identified preview so content and release decisions remain understandable between sessions.
