Digital services, delivered remotely

Improve the experience. Keep the work connected.

Softglimmer helps Perth businesses develop websites, ecommerce, software, mobile products and connected workflows. Our studio delivers remotely from Ranchi. We look at the information customers need, how an enquiry reaches the team and what staff need to keep operating while the project changes. The scope connects design and implementation with approved content, migration, review and practical ownership after launch.

Customer-facing information and the work behind it, planned as a usable delivery and handover.
  1. 01

    Understand the current work

Identify the published information, enquiry routes and operating tools to retain.

  2. 02

    Build the useful improvement

Select the website, product or connection that serves the agreed task.

  3. 03

    Manage the transition

Reconcile changed content and confirm the receiving team before release.

An example journey, shaped around your requirements.

Create a better experience around a working business.

An existing catalogue, website or staff tool often contains useful information alongside the difficulty that prompted a rebuild. We begin by establishing what should remain and what needs to change. A new design may be enough for one project; another may need structured editing, ecommerce, a customer portal or an internal system. We can plan and implement the selected combination rather than assuming a replacement of everything.

Public product or service descriptions, incoming enquiries and operational records serve different purposes. The project plan identifies their owners and the points where they connect. During a transition, the business still needs an understandable published offer and a team able to respond. Content preparation, data movement and the launch arrangement belong in the scope alongside the new pages and functions.

Make preservation and change explicit.

Agree the transition with the people who maintain the information and receive the work.

01

Published content and operating records

Identify the approved catalogue or service information and its source owner. Keep content migration separate from customer requests, staff records and commercial commitments that may need a different transfer or retention decision.

02

Changes made during the project

Decide where new content changes are recorded while the replacement is being prepared. Name the reviewer who reconciles them so the launch uses approved current information, not an unexplained earlier copy.

03

The person receiving the result

Confirm who checks enquiries, updates routine content and investigates a failed connection. Agree what they need to demonstrate before accepting the handover, with ongoing technical care stated in the proposal.

Receive a build and a practical transition plan.

The agreed deliverables can include these six parts, with the exact pages, functions and records specified in the proposal.

01

Current-state and scope brief

An inventory of relevant pages, content sources, tools and owners. Describe the customer or staff task, intended improvement and the existing functions that must remain useful.

02

Content and interface design

The information structure, responsive presentation and selected brand or interface patterns. Use representative catalogue or service material to assess navigation, meaning and the next action.

03

Working digital experience

The selected website, store or application with its agreed editing controls and functions. For operating tools, include roles and record transitions; for public pages, include useful information and contact journeys.

04

Migration and connection scope

A defined mapping of retained material and included exchanges. Review source access, representative values, changed addresses and any information that needs reconciliation before the transition.

05

Acceptance and cutover record

A review of important tasks on agreed desktop and mobile conditions. Reconcile current content, follow scoped results to the receiving team and record the release decision and recovery arrangements.

06

Operating and editing handover

Practical guidance, agreed source materials and account ownership. Ask the intended team to perform a routine task, and identify support, subscriptions and later changes outside the initial delivery.

Optional worked example

A hypothetical example: a new enquiry route, an already-open request.

Imagine a business launching a replacement catalogue website with a new team receiving enquiries. A customer is still waiting for a response to an earlier request and uses the new contact route to follow up with its reference. The new form reaches the right destination, but the receiving colleague still needs to recognise the existing work and its owner.

Before cutover, agree which team retains open requests, where their history remains available and how a follow-up reaches the responsible person with its context. If responsibility transfers, define how the receiving colleague acknowledges the handover and how an unresolved transfer stays visible. Rehearse an earlier request and a genuinely new enquiry separately, using suitable test material. The business approves who responds and which process or tool supports that work.

This is a hypothetical transition task within a complete website or wider system project. It connects the new public contact journey with the continuity of existing customer work.

Prepare enough context for a useful remote review.

Share the present site, the task to improve and a small representative set of approved catalogue or service information. Identify the people who control the domain, hosting, content and connected tools. Explain what must continue during the build and whether staff already maintain a change list. Sanitise unnecessary customer details in examples. Useful discovery does not require a finished technical specification, but it does need someone who can approve the facts and someone who understands the receiving process.

Review the transition as carefully as the new screens.

Work is delivered remotely from Ranchi. Dated reviews can use Australia/Perth and Asia/Kolkata, with participants and review windows agreed in the project plan.

  1. 01

    01 · Inspect and agree

Review the current journey, material and operating dependencies. Define the useful outcome, required preservation, business inputs and open decisions before selecting delivery stages and an estimate.

  2. 02

    02 · Design a complete journey

Use representative approved content to review the structure and interface. Include the customer action and receiving process, with clear written decisions available to colleagues between sessions.

  3. 03

    03 · Build and reconcile

Implement the agreed functions, prepare content and inspect scoped connections. Reconcile retained material and changes made during the build, then test ordinary and unsuccessful task outcomes.

  4. 04

04 · Release and transfer responsibility

Confirm launch readiness, enquiry destinations and the intended operating owners. Demonstrate routine editing and response tasks, provide the agreed materials and record ongoing care and later work.

Questions about delivery and continuity.

Do you work from an office in Perth?

Our studio is in Ranchi, India. Perth projects are delivered remotely with nominated reviewers, agreed sessions and written decisions. Named time zones are used for dated coordination. The plan records the access needs and delivery arrangements agreed with your team.

Can the current website remain useful while a replacement is built?

We can plan a separate review environment and an agreed transition after inspecting the actual setup. The scope needs to identify live changes, incoming work, account owners and release responsibilities. The launch plan and any recovery arrangement depend on those findings; they are reviewed before cutover.

Can we start with a website and add software later?

Yes, when the first stage has a complete useful task and a workable receiving process. We identify later dependencies and preserve the relevant information deliberately. The proposal sets the selected outputs, business inputs, review stages and estimate, with ongoing support and future development described separately.
