Website design and development for Phoenix

Give the business a website people can use.

Softglimmer plans, designs and develops business websites for Phoenix teams. We bring the page structure, approved content, responsive presentation, working contact routes and editing needs into one agreed commission. Our Ranchi studio delivers remotely, with representative pages to review and a practical handover for the people running the site.

A public website, from the first content decisions to an agreed working release.
  1. 01

    Explain the offer

Give services and genuine work a useful place.

  2. 02

    Develop the experience

Connect the design to working pages and actions.

  3. 03

    Equip the team

Include editing, release and ongoing ownership.

An example journey, shaped around your requirements.

Commission the public site your business needs.

A website project can establish a first public presence, improve a particular customer journey or replace an existing site. We begin with what the business offers and what readers need to understand before they make contact. That gives company information, service detail and supporting work a clear role in the page plan.

The engagement can include content organisation, visual design, development, an agreed CMS and the functions needed for the public journey. We discuss writing, image preparation and content entry as actual work with named responsibilities. A design approval should lead to an implemented website that can be read, navigated and maintained.

For an existing site, share the useful pages and functions as well as the problem prompting the project. We can retain suitable material while changing the structure or presentation. Storefronts, private accounts and business applications bring additional requirements; the proposal identifies the functions included in this website and the connected work that needs its own scope.

Choose a starting scope with a complete result.

The current material and intended visitor task help determine the right extent of work.

01

A first business website

Agree the essential company, service and contact pages, available brand material and content to prepare. The first release should give a reader a truthful explanation and a usable next action.

Discuss before build: Define the page set and launch material.

02

An improvement to the present site

Describe the reading, navigation, contact or editing difficulty. Reviewing that journey can reveal a proportionate change while preserving the rest of the working website.

Discuss before build: Inspect the existing site before choosing replacement.

03

A redesigned website

Plan the new experience alongside retained content, important addresses and connected accounts. Include the migration and public switch in the commission, with ownership of unfinished material clear.

Discuss before build: Review the change and continuity together.

Define the website from content to working release.

The written proposal states the pages and functions within these six output groups.

01

Page and content structure

Organise the audience questions, service information, company context and genuine supporting work. Identify the initial pages, source material and person approving each part.

A usable page plan and preparation list.
02

Responsive design

Develop the visual direction and representative page layouts using realistic headings, copy and media. Review their hierarchy, spacing and actions on the agreed phone and desktop views.

Reviewed layouts and reusable design patterns.
03

Website implementation

Build the selected templates, navigation and interactions. Include meaningful feedback and return routes for the actions in scope, so the public site forms a connected experience.

Developed pages and working controls.
04

Editing and media controls

Choose the content fields and section controls the team will use. Rehearse a routine change and preview with an intended editor, with more extensive structural changes identified separately.

An agreed publishing workflow and guidance.
05

Contact and enquiry connections

Specify the information requested, receiving destination and confirmation the site can truthfully give. Review the included journey and an appropriate unsuccessful route using authorised material.

A useful visitor action and defined receiving boundary.
06

Launch and handover

Prepare descriptive metadata, canonical addresses, internal links and sitemap entries. Check relevant retained destinations, assets and visitor tasks, then record release and ongoing responsibilities.

Release checks, access ownership and operating notes.

Bring a small pack of real pages to the design review.

A representative page pack makes an early review concrete. Choose one main service and another important page, then supply the material below for the ones relevant to your site. Mark draft or missing information clearly. The pack helps us design with your business information before extending a pattern across the full website.

Use your own approved material. These are preparation prompts, not a description of a Phoenix client project.

A principal serviceBring an approved explanation of the work, included outputs, important limits and any factual material supporting it. Name the person who can settle an unclear statement.Decide what a reader should understand on this page and which next action the business can support. Choose the amount of detail around that purpose.Open the developed page directly. Read the actual service explanation and follow the agreed next step on the selected narrow and wider layouts.
A contact routeProvide the public contact information, intended recipient and context the receiving team needs. Identify existing accounts or tools involved.Agree whether the route opens a call or message, requests information through a form, or connects to another service. Set its confirmation to the outcome actually supported.Follow the complete included route under the authorised review plan. Inspect useful correction messages and the receiving result, rather than approving the button alone.
A work or project pageSelect material the business may publish, with a factual description of its contribution and appropriate image context. Identify any detail still awaiting approval.Choose the information that helps someone assess relevance and how the page returns them to the related service or enquiry.Read the caption and description alongside the image treatment. Confirm that cropping, layout and related links preserve the intended explanation.

Review the page your customer will actually read.

A homepage can establish the visual direction, but a service page often carries more of the buying explanation. Bring a straightforward page and one with longer or more detailed material to the review. This lets us assess headings, navigation, media and calls to action without relying on short presentation copy that will later be replaced.

Consolidate feedback against the same version. A request to correct an inaccurate statement, a preference about the layout and an additional function need different decisions. The content owner confirms the facts; the project reviewer approves the selected presentation and scope. Ask the intended editor to attempt an ordinary update too, so the management task receives attention before release.

Move from a clear brief to an agreed launch.

Our team works remotely from Ranchi. Dated review invitations can use America/Phoenix and Asia/Kolkata, with the participants confirming their local time.

  1. 01

    Understand and scope

Review the current site or first-site requirement, content, accounts and intended actions. Agree the initial page set, required functions, supplied material and estimate.

    The shared website brief.
  2. 02

    Design representative pages

Develop the content structure and visual approach using the page pack. Resolve the meaningful layout and content decisions before applying the design to the wider site.

A direction your reviewers can assess.
  3. 03

    Build and check

Implement the approved templates, content controls and connections. Review public reading and actions alongside an ordinary editing task, recording findings against the version examined.

Working pages and agreed review results.
  4. 04

    Release and explain

Confirm content readiness, launch authority and the receiving accounts. Complete the agreed switch, supply the handover and identify continuing care and later development.

    An owned website after launch.

Make ordinary publishing manageable after the build.

The editing arrangement should reflect the updates your team expects to make. A service description, image or work entry can have appropriate controls without exposing every technical setting. We explain the agreed fields and show the nominated editor how a draft reaches preview and publication. A new template or function is assessed as additional work when it changes the accepted structure.

The handover also identifies the domain, hosting and relevant external-account owners, the source materials supplied under the agreement and the technical maintenance responsibilities. Ongoing content production, subscriptions, improvements and support have an explicit place in the proposal. A website launch and future search performance remain separate outcomes; useful content and technical foundations do not promise a ranking or a particular enquiry count.

Questions before commissioning the website.

Bring the present material and the decisions you can already explain.

Can we start before every page is written?

Yes. Share what is approved and identify the gaps. We can plan writing, editing and population responsibilities alongside design. The release plan states which material is needed before the agreed pages go public.

Does this service require WordPress?

No. We discuss the public design, content changes and operating needs before choosing the platform. The separate Phoenix WordPress guide explains a publishing-led scope when that approach is appropriate.

Can our current addresses and functions be retained?

We inspect the existing pages and connections during discovery. The agreed inventory identifies what stays, changes or requires investigation. Redesign and migration decisions form part of the proposed work.

Who will build and support the Phoenix website?

Our studio is in Ranchi, India, and delivery is remote. The agreement names the project reviewers, handover material and ongoing technical arrangement. It states any continuing support separately from the initial build.
