A maintainable care relationship starts with the website's actual condition. Onboarding identifies the platform, hosting, domain, content responsibility, relevant accounts and connected services. It also records known faults, access gaps and any inherited restrictions. Routine tasks can then be scoped around supported components, approved changes and representative public and editor checks.
The arrangement should say how a request becomes authorised work, what recovery material is available and how completion is reported. A planned component update, a broken enquiry route and an unfamiliar content change may need different investigation and review. Response coverage and escalation are agreed for the operating need; a maintenance label alone does not settle the extent of an incident-related task.
When the cause is uncertain, an initial investigation can be a bounded commission. Establish the observation, authorised access, relevant evidence and the questions to answer. The resulting proposal can distinguish an ordinary correction, further technical investigation and any specifically justified remediation. Do not infer a diagnosis merely because a link looks unfamiliar, or treat its removal as evidence that the wider question has been resolved.
