Raipur · ERP & Operations Software

Connect everyday work with a clearer operating picture.

Softglimmer plans and develops ERP and operations software for Raipur teams that need shared records, useful approvals and clearer reporting. We review the tools already in use, choose a practical first workflow and build the agreed roles, screens and connections. Purchasing, project costs and departmental handovers can be brought into the same plan. Our Ranchi studio delivers remotely with the people who will run the system.

Explore the service
A working process, connected records and reports the team can understand
  1. 01

    Understand the work

Follow a real request through its records and decisions.

  2. 02

    Connect the information

Give each important value a clear source and purpose.

  3. 03

    Prepare the team

Rehearse everyday use, corrections and reporting.

An example journey, shaped around your requirements.

Build around a complete piece of operating work.

An ERP project begins with how work moves through the business: who requests it, who approves it, what is recorded and what the next colleague needs. We examine that process with the people using the current software and spreadsheets. The first recommendation may be a better configuration, a focused extension or a custom application. The useful choice follows the gap your team needs to close.

The selected release can include shared job or project references, purchasing requests, resource or cost entries, approvals, staff views and operational reports. We design those parts together so one department can understand the information another supplies. Connections to accounting or other established systems have their own agreed fields, access and responsibility. We agree which system owns each record and how the new operating screens use that information.

The engagement brings discovery, record design, interface work, implementation, data preparation and rollout into one written scope. We identify the functions included, the information your team provides and the way the finished work will be reviewed. Cost control is one useful application of that wider service. It needs business definitions as well as software: the people responsible for purchasing, delivery and accounts decide what their figures mean.

Choose the part of the operation worth connecting first.

A focused first release can still take a piece of work from its starting point to its next responsible team.

01

Keep useful existing tools

Show us what your present system does well and where colleagues return to separate sheets or messages. We compare configuration, supported connections and development before proposing a replacement. Keeping a suitable system can make the new work smaller and easier to operate.

02

Agree the shared references

Decide how a project, purchase or departmental task is identified across the selected process. Bring examples that staff recognise. Names, codes and relationships help people follow a job across the selected process and recognise the records used at each step.

03

Give roles useful working views

A person requesting a purchase, someone approving it and a manager reviewing costs need different information and actions. Define those responsibilities with their users. Review permissions and corrections alongside the ordinary screens, instead of adding them after the workflow is built.

04

Name the report and its purpose

Choose the question each view must answer. A budget, an open commitment and a recorded cost can all be useful, but they are not interchangeable totals. Agree the contributing records and the responsible reviewer before deciding how a summary is presented.

Receive an operating release your team can take over.

The proposal identifies the modules, interfaces and preparation work included.

01

Process and first-release plan

A map of the selected work, its departments and the decisions that connect them. It names the useful starting boundary, open questions and inputs needed for an estimate.

02

Record and reporting design

Definitions for the shared references, states, important fields and included reports. Representative examples let the people supplying the data and reading the output assess the same design.

03

Working roles and interfaces

The agreed screens, permitted actions, approvals and correction routes. Staff can follow an ordinary task through the implemented process and into the reports they use.

04

Selected system connections

Approved exchanges with the tools retained in the process, where suitable interfaces and access are available. The scope states which system owns each value and how differences are handled.

05

Data and transition preparation

An agreed starting dataset, preparation responsibilities and reconciliation checks. The switch plan identifies open work and the steps needed if the team must return to the previous arrangement.

06

Training and operating notes

Walkthroughs for routine tasks, reports, corrections and exceptions. Account, source, hosting and continuing support responsibilities are included in the handover, with later modules separately described.

Develop it with the people doing the work.

Each stage moves the selected workflow closer to ordinary use.

  1. 01

    Discover and compare

Follow a recent task through the current tools. Discuss the operating gap, suitable options and the first release with the business and technical owners.

  2. 02

    Design with real examples

Use sanitised records to review relationships, actions and reports. Resolve the important terms and responsibilities before expanding the interface.

  3. 03

    Build and rehearse

Implement the agreed modules and connections. Staff try ordinary work, corrections and incomplete cases in a safe review arrangement.

  4. 04

    Switch and equip

Reconcile the starting records, agree the release and demonstrate everyday operation. Leave a named route for support and further development.

A hypothetical working example

A revised budget does not explain an earlier commitment.

Hypothetical example: a business approves a project allowance and later raises a purchase commitment against it. The project allowance is then revised. A summary that simply replaces one displayed total leaves a manager unsure which figure is the new allowance, which work remains committed and which costs have actually been recorded. During discovery, the business identifies the source and owner of each figure. The design can present the current approved allowance alongside the relevant commitments and recorded costs, using the definitions the team agrees. An authorised change to the allowance has its own meaning; it does not silently rewrite a purchase or a historical transaction. We follow that example through the intended staff views and report. Include an open commitment and a correction so the receiving team can explain the position. This is one review case within the wider ERP build, with your operating and accounting owners supplying the rules for their own process.

Keep the allowance, commitment and recorded cost understandable
  1. 01

    Identify the allowance

Use the business-approved version and reference.

  2. 02

    Follow the commitments

Keep the relevant open work connected to its source.

  3. 03

    Review the position

Read the report with its agreed meanings and owners.

Illustrative cost-control discussion. Your business defines the figures and approves the operating rules.

Bring one job from request to review.

Share a sanitised example of the work you want to connect, the records used along the way and the reports colleagues rely on. Include one ordinary case and one that needed a correction. For cost-control work, explain who supplies the allowance, who records a commitment and where actual costs are maintained. If two reports disagree, bring both report owners into discovery to explain their sources and resolve the difference.

The future users help assess the working release. A requester enters the agreed information, an approver makes the permitted decision and a manager follows the result into a report. The data owner checks any transferred records against their source. These reviews help uncover unclear labels, missing working steps and differences in how departments use the same term.

Our Ranchi team arranges remote sessions with your Raipur owners and keeps decisions available in writing. The estimate reflects the modules, roles, rules, data condition, connections and rollout work. Before handover, the receiving team practises an ordinary correction and explains where to get help. Continuing care and future expansion can then start from a clear account of what is already in use.

Questions before we begin.

Do we have to replace our existing ERP or accounting software?

Not automatically. We inspect the present workflow, useful configuration and supported interfaces first. A focused module or connection may address the gap while established records stay in their current system. A replacement needs a clear reason, a defined transfer scope and the people who can accept the change.

Can the system show budget, committed work and actual costs separately?

Those views can be included when their meanings, sources and review owners are agreed. We use representative records to design and check them. Your team decides the business and accounting definitions; the application implements the selected process rather than inventing a universal calculation for every organisation.

Can different staff have different approval and reporting access?

Yes, where those roles and actions form part of the scope. We identify what each person needs to see or change, including corrections after an approval. The review follows those permissions through actual working tasks, with access ownership explained at handover.

What should we send for an estimate and rollout plan?

Bring the current tools, intended users, selected workflow, sample records, required reports and proposed connections. We also discuss data preparation, open work at the switch and the support your team needs. These inputs let us describe the build, transition and continuing responsibilities in useful terms.
